About us Rosa Ferreiro Castiñeira

Rosa Ferreiro Castiñeira serves as a research associate and lecturer for two institutions at Heidelberg University: the Centro de Estudos Galegos (HCIAS) and the Institute for Translation and Interpreting. 

Her academic background includes the completion of a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Conference Interpreting and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Translation Studies, both awarded by Heidelberg University. Rosa holds official appointments as a sworn translator and interpreter by both the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Courts, covering Spanish, Galician, German, and English. Rosa's commitment to expanding her academic horizons is exemplified by her active participation in academic exchange programs with institutions such as the University of Hildesheim and ISIT Paris. She is also a Member of the Evaluation Committee of the State Examination for Translators and Interpreters at the Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe. Additionally, she has been accredited by the European Union as an inter-institutional interpreter.
