Martha Rudka studied translation at Heidelberg University with a focus on German, Spanish, and English. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in the fields of information structure and experimental pragmatics at the Faculty of Modern Languages under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Óscar Loureda. She held a fellowship of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and is a member of DPKog, a research group focusing on discourse particles and cognition, as well as the Heidelberg Language and Cognition Lab (HULC Lab).
Martha joined the HCIAS in 2019 and coordinates the academic programs at the HCIAS. In particular, she is involved in the implementation and further development of the HCIAS interdisciplinary master’s program "Communication and Society in Ibero-America". Martha is also part of the coordinating team of the HCIAS program for doctoral training, and organizes academic projects such as the HCIAS summer or winter schools for masters‘ and doctoral students which in 2021 and 2022 are being funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
