Pedro Alba Rodríguez is a master student in the international double master's program in Specialized Translation and Cultural Mediation at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting at Heidelberg University and the Faculty of Translation and Documentation at the Universidad de Salamanca. During his master’s studies, he has been working as a research assistant (HiWi). Pedro holds a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Salamanca. After graduating, Pedro came to Heidelberg for an Erasmus-Internship in the context of the collaboration agreement between HCIAS and the Institute for Translation and Interpreting at Heidelberg University.

Pedro Alba Rodríguez works at HCIAS in the further development of the international double degree programs Specialized Translation and Cultural Mediation with the University of Salamanca and Specialized Translation and Translation Technologies with the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile as well as in the coordination of research projects.

Pedro’s research interests lie at the intersection of specialised translation, cultural mediation and the role of Spanish in the digital context. His work also engages with digital workflows, terminology management, and the evaluation of neural network-based language technologies in research environments.
