Do not post any advertising or spam.
- Any commercial content will immediately be removed by us.
- It is also not permitted to use our social networks to send advertising or other marketing content to others via private messages (spam).
- Respect the privacy and anonymity of others! Please help us to protect the privacy and rights of other users. Do not disclose any personal/private details of other people, regardless of whether they are also users of the network or not. This primarily includes name, address and other personal data, but also photos/videos. Please bear in mind that once posted, it may be difficult to completely delete these details afterwards.
- Respect copyright and intellectual property rights as a user of the site! In particular, make sure that you have the rights to distribute the content, photos, works of art or other copyrighted, trademarked or named works you publish on this social media site. By posting certain content, you confirm that you have the necessary permission to do so. You also consent to the further use of this content on the various HCIAS social media channels.
- „Be careful about what you say!“ There is nothing wrong with being informal and using dialect or colloquial language, but offensive language, swear words or similar will be tolerated. Nor will sexist remarks be tolerated. Always stay friendly and tolerant! Even if you feel attacked or offended by a post/comment, remain objective and fair. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, you are welcome to contact us directly. The easiest way to do this is, to either send a direct message to the relevant account or an email to the HCIAS social media coordinators (katrin.berty(at)uni-heidelberg.de / martha.rudka(at)uni-heidelberg.de).
- To make sure that the exchange of ideas stays accessible and understandable for everyone, please post only in one of the languages relevant to the work of the HCIAS, i.e. English, German, Spanish, Portuguese or Galician.
- Comments, opinions and links posted by users on the social media pages operated on behalf of HCIAS do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the HCIAS. Furthermore, copyrighted works or trademarks of the HCIAS may not be used without the prior written consent of HCIAS.
- All posts should have a concrete, direct reference to the activities or the work of the HCIAS and comments should relate to the post they are commented on. In case of doubt, the respective site administrators should be contacted before posting.
- Posts/content that violate these guidelines will be removed immediately.
- Users who persistently ignore the community guidelines for our social media pages despite repeated warnings, will be excluded from the future use of our social media pages. Depending on the type of content and/or the intensity of the insult, discrimination, threat, etc., we reserve the right to report this incident and the user to the respective site provider which have their own community standards, which also form the basis of our community guidelines.
- It is not possible for us to check all postings by our followers and users immediately. The site administrators can therefore not be held responsible or liable for the content of the comments. Rather, each user is responsible for their own contributions. We would like to point out that comments that violate applicable law are also potentially subject to criminal prosecution and can be reported to corresponding authorities - by the HCIAS or by other users.
