Research Associate
Dr. Adriana Cruz Rubio has been working at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting in the areas of research, teaching, and coordination since 2013. Since 2019 she is also a research associate at the HCIAS and contributes to fortifying the institutional bridge between the two centers.
As a member of the Communication and Cognition research group at the University of Heidelberg, she conducts research in the field of Communication and Experimental Pragmatics. From 2014 to 2017, she was a doctoral fellow of the German National Academic Foundation.
Her teaching focus is on pragmatics and technical translation in the field of medicine, and she works in a higher-level role coordinating digital and research-oriented teaching.
Furthermore, she coordinates international study programs such as the Master's program variants with a double degree in “Specialized Translation and Cultural Mediation” (in cooperation with the Universidad de Salamanca) and “Specialized Translation and Translation Technologies” (in cooperation with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), the BA-Plus exchange program, as well as Erasmus. At the HCIAS she coordinates the DAAD granted international virtual academic collaboration project “Communication and Society @Ibero-America”.
