About Us Adriana Cruz Rubio

Dr. Adriana Cruz Rubio has been working at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting in the areas of research, teaching, and coordination since 2013. Since 2019 she is also collaborating with the HCIAS and actively contributes to fortifying the institutional bridge between the two centers.

As a member of the Communication and Cognition research group at the University of Heidelberg, she conducts research in the field of Communication and Experimental Pragmatics. From 2014 to 2017, she was a doctoral fellow of the German National Academic Foundation. 

Her teaching focus is on Experimental Pragmatics and technical translation in the medical field. Additionally she takes on overarching tasks in the coordination of digital and research-oriented teaching. 

Furthermore, she coordinates international study programs, among them double degrees in cooperation with the Universidad de Salamanca and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, as well as international exchange programs and virtual academic collaboration projects.
