Dr. Judith Müller is a postdoctoral researcher in the junior research group Food for Justice: Power, Politics and Food Inequalities in a Bioeconomy (2019-2025), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Judith Müller completed her Ph.D. on “Urban Mountain Waterscapes in Leh, Indian Trans-Himalaya - The Transformation of Hydro-Social Relations” at the Heidelberg Center for the Environment and the Department of Geography at the South Asia Institute of Heidelberg University. She studied geography and journalism at the University of Mainz and political science, geography, and sociology at Umeå University (Sweden).

Judith Mueller

Research

Her research interests include agri-food studies, environmental justice, social movements, gender studies, sustainable development, water governance, climate change adaptation, postcolonial studies, and urban studies. Her methodological focus is on mixed methods designs, qualitative research, and participatory methods. Her regional focus is on Germany and South Asia (India).
