New Research Project at the HCIAS, supported by DAAD and ConicetPublic discourse on the pandemic in Latin America. Awareness, understanding, and social attitudes – A case study on Argentina
The goal of this new cooperative project is to analyze the socio-communicative dynamics of discourse on the COVID-19 pandemic in educational contexts in Argentina. Partnered with the HCIAS on this project are the Facultad de Filología y Letras of the Universidad de Buenos Aires and the Heidelberg Center Latin America in Santiago de Chile (HCLA). The project is designed to be a long-lasting research collaboration within an international network, offering doctoral candidates and postdocs new opportunities for furthered scientific training and international networking. Funded by the Argentinian agency for fostering science, CONICET, and the German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD, in line with the program for project-related exchange (German: PPP) with Argentina, the project is planned to span two years.
Responsible for the project are Prof. Dr. Francisco Moreno-Fernández (HCIAS) and Prof. Dr. Claudia Borzi (Facultad de Filología de Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires).
